Are regular soy products, especially kecap manis gluten free?

So I am aware they contain traces of wheat and it is this, not the soy beans that contain gluten.

However I've been in contact with commercial suppliers who say that company's such as Kikkoman for example, have had their products tested.

The results supposedly show the levels of gluten to be so negligible that they can be considered gluten free.

I'm a chef by trade and want to be able to speak knowledgably w/ staff and customers about the topic yet there are some conflicting reports.
