Gluten Free Pizzas in Perth – Raktacino

About a 10 min drive south from the Perth CBD in a suburb Salter’s Point(near Aquinas College), is a small cafe and pizzeria called Raktacino, located at 16 Letchworth Centre Avenue.

They make the best gluten free wood fire pizzas i have been about to find in Perth. With a menu of over 17 different pizza style toppings to choose from, you’ll be going back again and again like me.

A couple of these to get your taste buds going include:

your basic Umbria – ham, pineapple, cheese and a choice of either field mushrooms or Italian sausage or artichoke – $17.00

or something vegetarian like the Toscana – baby spinach, pumpkin, field mushroom and feta – $17.50

or for meat lovers the Trattorian – bianca base ( garlic herb oil) Italian sausage, pepperoni, bacon, field mushrooms, red onion and parsley – $19.50

or if you feel like seafood, the Venezia – king prawns, calamari & scallops marinated in chilli and garlic with cherry tomatoes and parsley – $22.50 – this is one of my favourites.

All of the toppings including meats, sauces, cheeses and marinated are gluten free. The only pizza i am unsure about is their Dessert pizza.

All the pizzas on the menu are priced as your stand wheat flour base, between $17 and $22.50, but be prepared to pay an extra $4.50 on top of this for the gluten free base. These gluten free base are bought from a company is the eastern states so this explains the price.
These pizzas may be expensive for some, but believe me they are worth every cent.

Raktacino also have a daily lunch and dinner specials menu board which usually including steak, fish, if your not a pizza fan. The kitchen staff are more than happen to adjust items on there menu, if they can, to suit a gluten free diet.

Hope you enjoy the food and service as much as i do.
