I am gluten free and dairy intolerant… while I will admit sometimes I will have a piece of chocolate or butter in cooking… things like cream, milk and cheese seem to really set me off.

It is for this reason I like to use rice or soy milk in my coffee… especially when I am out.

Recently I discovered that some brands of soy milk have barley in them – So I was hoping someone might point me in the direction of a good gluten free soy milk?

Thanks in advance for your help!

    BONSOY

Job’s Tears is a Gluten Free barley ! A quick search would tell you that – and dietitian. And I have coeliac disease. There is NO “mild” form of it. I am highly sensitive to gluten – and drink Bonsoy daily.

A new yummy pure, all organic soy drink on the market is Soyana Swiss Natural Soy Drink. It’s ingredients are only 18% organic soy beans and energised Swiss water. Froths very well and has a creamy full flavour. Nutritionally very good. Worth a try.

    GF Soy Milk
    by: Dawn

Hi, I require a GF and lactose free diet. I have found So Good Lite is both and it is very pleasant to drink. I struggled in the past to find GP soy milk…..most companies are also knowledgeable in their products – ie: Aldi have advised that their soy milk is GF and lactose free……….and it is cheaper than the rest!!!!!!!!!

    Bonsoy contains barley

Bonsoy contains “job’s tears” – barley. It is not gluten free. Whoever posted that they are coeliac and can drink Bonsly must have a mild version of the condition!

    Bonsoy
    by: Liz

I think at one point Bonsoy had barley in it, but hasn’t for a few years. I’ve spoken with Dietians and Natrapaths, and they have all assured me Bonsoy is GF.

I am very sensitive coeliac, and I drink Bonsoy daily!I’ve also read the ingredients and it’s fine. That’s weird that you’ve seen one with barley – not to sound rude.

DeCaf coffee has gluten in it.

    Bonsoy contains barley
    by: Margo

I had a coffee with bonsoy milk and felt sick. The barista assured me it was glutenfree, but after feeling sick (I am a coeliac) I checked the ingredients and found it contains barley. Not so glutenfree after all!

    good gluten free soy milks
    by: Anonymous

Pure Harvest Malt free soy milk and Australia’s Own (malt free) soy milk are good options and my favourites, and don’t seem so processed as some of the other soy milks.. soy milky from Vitasoy also tastes ok.

    soy milk gluten free
    by: Ellie

I agree with the previous comment – be careful of vitasoy, I once drank it since i assumed they all were gluten free and I got so sick from it. Especially watch out for coffee shops since they often seem to use vitasoy. Also be careful of the brand Bonsoy it is not gluten free but the word ‘wheat’ is written so small its hard to see.

As far as I have seen all So Good brand soy milks are gluten free, even the long life flavored ones. They are the ones I drink since you can also get the really low fat ones that are still yummy.

    Gluten Free Soy Milk
    by: Anonymous

    Hi,
Vitasoy “Soy Milky” Lite is gluten free (and their regular “Soy Milky” is as well. Don’t mix it up with the others in their range – these are the only ones that are gluten free (it is on the label as well).
    Cheers.

Vitasoy soy milky (not original soy milk range) is gluten free, lactose free, suitable for vegans and vegetarians as well as cholesterol free! This includes the light milk, chocolate and vanilla.
The vitasoy original bean unsweetened soy milk product is also gluten free.

    Hope that helps 🙂

Every product in the So Good range is gluten free, lactose free, cholestorol free, suitable for vegans, and never uses GM soy – including the Frozen desserts.
