warning on GF claim in Quokka Joe's Rottnest

I just returned from a weekend in Rottnest, which would have been fantastic except for a bad experience at Quokka Joe's.

The cafe offers gluten free options but is not as careful as it should be. I carefully ordered a gluten free salad, was told I would get a GF Caesar salad, but as I was eating it I realised, too late, that it had croutons in it.

I took it back and the response was they'd make me another meal. While the cooks were really apologetic, the owner was rude a defensive. She reimbursed me the cost of the salad after I asked for my money back, but not for any other part of the meal and made no attempt to make amends.

I wouldn't recommend this place to coeliacs; I get the impression that it's not taken as seriously as it ought to be, and certainly a tough luck attitude afterwards.
