I’m hoping to have a doctor be able to answer this one as I think it’s probably a bit unusual…
Background information:My daughter is 6 and having the biopsy to complete her coeliac diagnosis on Friday. Her bloodwork was very conclusive (as are her symptoms)so the doc and I are pretty sure her villi will complete the story.
My question is this: Miss 6 had croup last week and had to take Predimix, a steroid, for 3 days. Following this she now has a nasty cough so is on Amoxcillin (5mls 3 x day for 5 days) to get rid of it in time for her biopsy. She will complete her antibiotics on Monday night. Will the steroids and antibiotics affect her villi and change the result? I’ve only thought about it this morning and it is Saturday so I wont be able to get an answer until Monday from her surgeon.
